Puffy Pumpkin

Ah yes, here I am again with yet another Pinterest project completed.  Have I mentioned how much I love Pinterest?  Well, I do!

It seems the trend right now is to decorate pumpkins with spray paint, glitter, puff paint, etc. in lieu of the more traditional carving.  I'm definitely still a fan of carving, more for the tradition, memories and holiday spirit than the actual act of carving.  But I'm really loving all the creatively decorated pumpkins I'm seeing everywhere.  So of course, I just had to join in on the fun.

I have a couple big pumpkins set outside for the main carving event, but also picked up a few pie pumpkins to play around with and decorate the inside.  I found this picture on Pinterest and just knew I had to give it a try, plus, I already had all the materials on hand - pumpkin, black paint, and black puff paint.

The first step was painting the stem with the black paint...

Then I started puff-painting away.  I used small dots to form all my designs.  And this is what I ended up with...

And here is my newly decorated pumpkin among some other holiday decorations...
