Lunch Crafts - #2

Recycled T-Shirt Scarf

This next craft is pretty niffty if you ask me, plus I absolutely love scarves. This is made from old T-shirts, or new if you would prefer.  What a great way to re-use some old shirts and make a unique scarf.
It's as simple as cutting 1 inch strips on the body of the shirt all the way up to the armpits. Then cut 1/2 inch strips from the sleeves for connector ties. Once all your pieces are cut, take the large strips and twist them around your hand to make a circle.  The final step is to start tying/knotting all the circles together with the connector ties.  Once again, another very easy little project!

I ended up using 2 shirts to make my scarf longer and doubled up a few of the circles.  This is the final result...

  1. Totally love this! I want to make one! However, I'm not fully understanding the circle/tying part. LOL! Sorry, I'm retarded and will need help. I just gave all my old clothes away to good will, so I will have to find some old t-shirts or something...
