Happy Days

I was informed by my brother, Ryan, that my last blog post was a little depressing.  Ok, so maybe is was a tad on the dreary side, but hey, doesn't the cold, crappy weather do that to everyone?

So in contrast, I'm going to tell you what I'm happy about right at this moment.  Lucky for you all - you can blame Ryan.

I feel like a list will do the trick, plus, I should be working so I don't have a whole lotta time to devote to my happy thoughts.  Drum roll please....
  • The warm[er], sunny weather right now.  The sun and some warmth on my skin really do the trick to help cure a less than cheery heart and soul.
  • Ryan got an internship!  Yay for him!  Extremely proud of my little brother!  He will finally get to experience what's it's like working in the "real world". *Sidenote: I have always disliked that term.  So, what are people saying?  Were we not in the "real world" before we graduated college?  So confused.
  • Conference in Boston.  This business trip will mark the first time I have ever traveled with my job.  I'm very excited, plus I believe I will also be attending another conference in LA soon.  However, I do have to say that I'm actually happy I don't have to travel with my job much, or at all for that matter. Based on family and friends, I know it's gets old real quick.
  • My new black heels.  Nothing special, just plain black, but it still made me happy to be going home with something new.  But this purchase was way overdue since the black heels I had been wearing were purchased in college.
  • My new bangs.  I've had these for a couple weeks now, but have loved them ever since the inital chop.  I needed a change and had found a cute picture of Reece Witherspoon.  Who doesn't love Reece? This is the picture I took in to my hairstylist...
  • Signed up for another Triathlon.  You heard it right.  Krista talked me into doing the women's triathlon again.  Yes I'm crazy.  But at least I'll be crazy with Krista.  And we're trying to talk a couple other friends into it as well :)
  • K-State beat KU!  Wahoo!!  Was such an awesome game, but I have to admit that Matt and I were so scared that we kept flipping back and forth with other shows.  I would have given anything to be there at Bramlage...Ryan was one of the crazies that stormed the court!

I think that last item is a good one to end on, even though I really don't like odd numbers.  I'm more of an even girl.  Just in case you were curious, 4 is my favorite number :)

    Happy Wednesday!
